HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS

Hydrographic Surveys, as the name suggests, are the water based equivalent of Land Surveys. They can be surveys of water courses, open water, in-shore or off-shore. Like Land Surveys they depict topography or land form but of the river bed, sea bed, lake bed and associated features – river bank & flood plain.

At Invar Mapping we undertake a variety of in-shore Hydrographic Surveys for a variety of clients and industries.

With many projects now requiring Flood Risk Assessments as part  of the planning procedure, we are able to provide the consultants with all the field data they require to carry out their analysis. This may be in the form of a watercourse, flood defence or flood plain survey.

Drawings can be provided as cross sections, long sections and 2D/3D models etc.

Data can be exported in a variety of formats such as EACSD v3.2, Hecras and Flood Modeller, alongside .dwg / .dxf files.

We also provide land and hydrographic monitoring services, such as fixing position and levels of flood gauge boards, or monitoring points to assess whether land is moving over a period of time.
